Chili

Since we have so much ground beef in the freezer and because SP loves chili, I decided to make chili on Thursday. I used the recipe SP likes from Emeril:

... and he said it was the best version I've ever made. I'm not a huge fan of chili, but I think it was pretty good:

We had it with tortilla chips, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions and sour cream. I also chopped up some tomatoes and cilantro.

  3. I was never a fan of chili either, but I love making that one really spicy one for me and Steve and he adores it. I guess them loving it makes it worth it for us to make from time to time eh?

Patsyk - It's getting to be that time of year. :)

Melissa - Definitely! SP asked for it again this week, but there are too many other recipes I want to try.

  5. I just clicked back to look at Emeril's recipe...it looks great. I may try it next time. My chili is a little predictable, and boring :P

  7. I love chili but my husband and daughter like to put cooked spagetti noodles in it. That is kind of traditonal around these parts. I prefer it w/o "worms" as they are called.

Also, that is an interesting way to serve chili. I have never seen it that way. Here it is always served in a bowl with saltine crackers.
